No iOS libraries.... :(

Please let me know when an iPhone/iPad library becomes available. Thanks.

    Hi David - there are technical limitations in iOS that make implementing a directly vehicle connection impossible for the moment (there's a much more detailed discussion over here, any input would be most welcome: https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups=#!searchin/openxc/ios/openxc/mUEiJDZ0oXg/lLpoW4Lt4b4J).

    In the meantime, you can submit an app to the competition that runs on iOS and uses vehicle data from the cloud (in the OpenXC format) instead of directly from the car.

    Thanks for clarifying the challenges in bringing OpenXC to the iOS platform.

    You could definitely implement OpenXC for iOS using the iPod Accessory Protocol (iAP). It doesn't cost much to license, and since you're funded by Ford I don't see a budget problem there either... :)
